Course Structure
The programme includes the following
types of activities:
Communicative activities
We use a variety of fun, interactive communicative activities to enable
the students to practise and consolidate structures and language which
they have already covered at school.
Fluency Practice
Fluency practice gives students the opportunity to express their own
thoughts and opinions in English. This type of activity is very effective
in improving linguistic confidence.
Natural English: vocabulary building and extension
We introduce the students to (non-slang) English expressions which
are rarely found in text books, but which are commonly used in everyday
communication between native speakers.
Pronunciation
We look at the aspects of pronunciation which your pupils find difficult.
Role play
Role plays enables pupils to practise
the language they have learnt in a contextual setting. The role
plays are relevant to the pupils’ interests
as well as their linguistic needs.
Project Lesson
The students work together in small groups to work on projects of their
choice, for example a school magazine or a guide to their town or city.
The language of communication is English, and on the final day the
pupils will have the opportunity to present the results to their classmates
and teachers. |
